About The Book:
The Lotus Queen - a historical fiction based on fact, set in medieval Rajasthan
1303 AD, Rajasthan, India. Queen Padmini's new life in Chittor, the capital of the Rajput kingdom of Mewar, is rudely shattered by the arrival of the Sultan of Delhi who, smitten by her beauty and obsessed with the desire to possess her, lays siege to the fort.

As the Rajputs face total destruction, Padmini knows but one route to freedom and honour. It is a decision that would lead her people to a fate yet unheard of in history. A decision that would affect an entire people and inspire generations to come.

Set against the dramatic landscape of one of Rajasthan’s most famous forts in the 14th century, The Lotus Queen is a modern retelling of the story of one of the most legendary figures in India: Queen Padmini. The book blends fact and fiction and weaves together a tale of love, friendship and courage in the face of extreme adversity. The Lotus Queen brings alive the era by an extensive research on historical facts and represents well, the tumultuous events that led to the destruction of Mewar during that time.

BROKEN HEARTS BY SHRENIK MUTHA

Title : Broken Hearts
Author : Shrenik Mutha
Publisher: Frog Books  (2011)

About The Book:
Do love stories ever come to an end? Do break-ups and hook-ups in life change people? And even if people change, do their hearts, feelings and emotions accompany them in this change? The beauty of our life lies in the small things which are connected and make relationships important in our life.
This book is a journey which starts from our desires and ends at our responsibilities. It is a tale that depicts true life and the sorrow of dreams not coming true. It is a tale of teenage love. Almost every movie we watch ends with 'and they lived happily ever after.' But, life is not such. Life is when you have to choose between what your heart desires and where your responsibilities lie. And this is the reason why heart break.
